Lynn Howell
Inducted: May 31, 2019
Hall of Fame Coach
The task of coaching is more difficult than you may think. You throw every ball, you are on your feet for many hours, you mitigate conflict, emotions, attitude and egos all while trying to bring together a cohesive unit to obtain the ultimate goal of gold.
This evening we are proud to honour the first three inductees into the C5PBA Hall of Fame under the coaches division.
Selection of these inductees has been based on their participation and accomplishments at C5PBA events as well as their work as a coach at all level of our sport.
Our third inductee has coached both the Open and Youth Challenge a combined 8 times and his teams have won 3 gold and 2 bronze medals.
An accomplished bowler in his own right, he uses his knowledge of the game to guide his teams to success. He is a coach who firmly believes in the sport and guides and encourages participants at all levels. Even when his own children chose to pursue soccer instead of bowling he remained an integral part of the Alberta Bowling School.
The respect he garners as a coach carries outside of his home zone. He is often asked to coach teams from other zones and never hesitates to accept the position.
The C5PBA is proud to induct into the Coaches Division of the Hall of Fame from Edmonton, Alberta, Lynn Howell.
